"You've got to be kidding me, this is Julchen?"

"Shh—quiet you. She'll hear us."

Antonio never could have said it better as he attempted to minimize Francis' voice. Although Julchen was three seats behind them and with earphones on, she heard them loud and clear. It was the start of their final year in high school and everyone was noisier than ever. She wished she would've just skipped school because, final year or not, she found it so repetitive. Everything was dull and she was certain anything would be better than sitting on a thigh-numbing chair during the late winter of January.

The silver-haired female adjusted her head to a more comfortable position while staring out at the blaring morning sunlight through the window. She dreaded mornings. Everything was too lively while she sat there, completely sleep deprived and useless. Worst of all, it constantly reminded her of how long she'd have to endure until classes were dismissed.

She raised the volume of her iPod to shut out the voices in the classroom, especially the boys talking about her, but they only caught up to the music.

"No way, she's so beautiful here! How did this, become that?" The French student groaned disappointingly.

The albino knew that a finger was stuck out pointing obscenely at her with the circle of his friends following their eyes with it. She stared hard at the mould on the rims of the window frames hoping that they'd quickly find something else to discuss about because her level of tolerance was wearing thin. Her name looped over and over until she couldn't take it anymore and shot up.

They were all taken aback as Julchen had her half-amethyst half-cobalt orbs shoot a deadly glare at all of them. She stomped over to the table with Francis holding the open maroon hardback book, snatched the item off his hands and shut the thing abruptly.

"Mind your own goddamn business!" she scowled.

She hastily took this opportunity to have a look around the faces of the people. Some familiar and some she has never seen in her life. There was obviously Francis Bonnefoy and Antonio Fernandez Carriedo. She knew these two from the back of her hand—always causing mischief together. But the other faces in the group, she had to recall more.

"Arthur, really, you have to teach this woman some proper manners," Francis fussed, gesturing his hand at Julchen like she never had a bath in years.

'There! Arthur, that was his name,' Julchen realized, inwardly thanking Francis for the reminder but still hating him for being a total douche. She stopped looking around and faced eye-to-eye with the stubble faced man.

"W-what?" Francis said as he raised his eyebrow.

"Stop looking at other people's pictures you dirty old man," Julchen threatened, gripping onto the yearbook securely.

"You're really right Francis, what happened to this girl?" a voice coming from an unfamiliar student.

She grinded her teeth and decided whether starting a fight would be futile and whether it would degrade any good impressions of her image, which she didn't care in general, it was bad enough for people to hate her for the remainder of the school year.

She glanced down at the seemingly old yearbook, opening the folded page where her picture was and remembered how she became the person she was today.

It was no lie what boys admitted, that she was beautiful; she had soft straight silver hair that glimmered through the glossy paper, her lashes were long from the mascara, her cheeks tinged with a peachy hue, her lips glossed with pastel pink and her face flawless. She was smiling gently and her eyes could make any man melt. She was no less than perfect back in middle school.

Times have changed and today, she stopped wearing makeup. Her hair seemed like it hasn't been combed in years, her lower lid rimmed with black eye bags, and her face plastered with sourness.

It wasn't that she regretted becoming the 'most unfeminine female student' in the entire school body, but it was because she grew sick of all the gossips and backstabbing the jealous girls would always say about her during her middle school days.

In front of her, they would enviously compliment her about how she was born beautiful and how they wished they could have been born with the same beauty she had, while the boys always ogled dreamily at her whenever she looked the other way. She knew that people would be skeptical at times but she had no idea that even her closest friends feigned their bond.

She used to think that she would live a normal life, but all of her friends turned their backs one day and she was regarded as trash and that she should die for being such a bitch.

Since that incident, she swore to herself she would never exert effort in becoming beautiful again. Her grades also dropped terribly and then she became just one of those inconspicuous students that no one notices. But in the end, she was more relieved than lonely and it was as if all the weight was taken off her shoulders. She became happy with no one to pressure her with nonsense.

She shut the book and began to walk back to her chair.

"J-just wait a sec, who are you calling a dirty old man?" Francis choked distastefully at her harsh words.

"Don't bother with amazons, they like it when their meals are in distress."

Julchen halted. She slowly turned around and stared at the male who spoke those words. There was no one else besides this man that could make her day the worst. Roderich Edelstein has always been the only person in the world she truly despised ever since she could remember. The brunette sat behind Antonio, his arms crossed and his eyes in slits like he was the one offended.

"Ah yes, of course it's always four eyes who likes insulting women. You're obviously no gentleman either," she shot back, smirking while she placed one arm on her hips.

"Women? I think you're the one who should get glasses, you're obviously no woman," he replied calmly, shifting his leg to his right as if imitating Julchen's gestures.

She glared atrociously at Roderich while he glared back. The atmosphere of the room grew dark and Francis felt he had the urge to stop the bickering before the situation becomes worse.

"Julchen, you know Roderich is a little… out of his head today, why don't you let him off and I'm sure he'll also apologize for insulting you," the French student said weakly, stepping in the middle just in case they decided to play gladiators and stake each other.

"Piss off old man," Julchen scoffed, opening the book while ripping off the page with her picture in it and then tossing the book back at Francis and then crumpling the torn page into a ball.

"And you," she shot at Roderich. "Go to hell!"

She threw the paper at his face and stormed out of the room.

Julchen sighed as she walked sluggishly towards the women's bathroom. Maintaining a tough attitude was exhausting. She was hoping that these boys would stop bothering her from now on, but seeing that she was already becoming the hot topic, it would be far from over.

She dragged her lazy legs into the cubicle and slumped into the seat. She considered whether to stay inside until the day ends, but shrugged off the thought when the toilet seat felt so uncomfortable. The albino student let out a tired yawn but held it halfway when she heard a group of female students walk in, talking about her.

"I can't stand that horrible attitude of hers! Who the hell does she think she is, talking to all the boys like that."

"Did you hear? Roderich called her an amazon! I couldn't contain my laughter after hearing that one."

"Why does she even wear that stupid red hoodie? Why can't she simply just wear a cardigan or the blazer if she's cold?"

"Maybe she's actually a confused man!"

They all laughed out loud, stomping their feet to control their laughter. Hearing this, Julchen kicked the cubicle door open, her hands shoved in her pockets and her eyes groggy from irritation. The girls were startled by her presence (and appearance), slowly trotting back every time she took a step forward. The silver haired female shoved passed them and went out of the bathroom.

One of the green eyed ginger stepped out of the group and shouted at her. "H-hey! Where do you think you're going?"

The ginger chased Julchen outside and the other girls followed. They all circled Julchen when they reached the corridor.

Julchen sighed tiredly and kicked the floor with the edge of her sole. "What now?"

The ginger grew angry, digging her hands into her pockets to reach for a cutter, walking up to her as she pointed the sharp blade. "You know I really hate that attitude of yours. You always speak like a man, and it's so fucking rude."

The albino held back her laughter, smirking at her pursuer. "Says the woman who has chocolate stuck on her teeth."

She blushed from the embarrassment but was enraged by her comment, withdrawing her hand with the cutter back to swing it at her. Julchen easily dodged the attack and grabbed harshly onto her pursuer's wrist and stripped the weapon off of her. She pushed the ginger onto the floor before anything more could happen. The girls with the ginger slowly stepped back out of fear until they all looked behind Julchen.

"Just what on earth is going on here?"

The person that the girls were staring at was apparently a teacher and by the scenario of the situation, it was Julchen that got reprimanded.

The teacher immediately grabbed a hold of Julchen and knocked the cutter out of her grasp, completely misunderstanding the situation.

"Wait a moment; she was the one who attacked me!" Julchen shouted, struggling to get out of his grasp.

The real criminal took the opportunity to begin crying and feigning her innocence. The girls with her played along and comforted her.

"I-I had n-no idea w-why s-s-she did t-that to m-me. I t-thought s-she was going t-to k-kill me!" the ginger choked, burying her head into friend's arms.

The teacher shook his head in disbelief and dragged Julchen to the faculty room.

"For a girl, you are quite the troublemaker."

"But I didn't DO it," Julchen hissed furiously at her captive, ignoring the first comment.

"Another word and consider yourself a candidate for expulsion."

The whole morning was occupied with questions regarding the morning incident. The teachers interrogated Julchen but nothing ever satisfied them when she tried to defend herself.

"I'm telling you, she was the one who took out the cutter and tried to stab me. I should be the one crying," she pouted, crossing her arms in frustration.

The teachers gave up on dealing with her and walked off, except for her advisor. She was genuinely a kind lady from what Julchen has heard but she waited for the teacher to reveal her true colours. Not a single word came out of her except for a small gesture. She placed her hands on Julchen's.

"It must be hard."

The albino removed her hand from her adviser's. "I don't need your pity," she replied as politely as she could. She didn't deserve to be ridiculed unlike the others.

"I know it must be tough coping with your peers and I have seen your grades are dangerously dropping," she began, but received no reply. So she continued.

"It's your final year and I really don't want you to repeat or worse, to be expelled. I will try to convince the teachers to give you another chance on your behaviour since it is your first day and I'm sure whatever it was back there was an accident."

She hoped this was getting to Julchen. She cleared her throat before she pressed on.

"And I composed a plan to help you pass your midterms and finals for the year. I decided it was best to get you a personal tutor. Every day, after school, he will teach you all the lessons of the day carefully and he will make sure you'll understand everything. And so to make things more comfortable for your level, I didn't hire you a teacher but in fact, I got you a student."

Julchen shot her attention back at her adviser and shook her head violently in disapproval.

"No no no. I don't need a tutor, I appreciate your kindness but I don't think you should bother another person to help me out. I'm fine really."

She was reluctant at her denial but reassured her about her future tutor. "Oh don't worry about him. He was glad to help out anyone he could."

The door opened, a student with a stack of papers walking in. The adviser clapped her hands together and smiled gleefully.

"In fact, that's him coming in right now."

The male student dropped the paper on the table beside Julchen and the teacher, looking confused when he watched Julchen's face turn blue.

"No way," she gaped in horror.

"Are you telling me my tutor for the rest of the year is Roderich?"
